Question about a UPC label

dabuddha

Lifer
I'm currently filling out this rebate form

rebate

and I saw that the sample UPC label they have includes the Serial Number and PN. I only cut out the UPC portion. Am I going to have to cut out the other numbers as well?

Ok I finally got ahold of someone at the 800 number and she's telling me that I only need the UPC portion. But she didn't really sound like she knew what she was talking about so that worries me :/

Look at the rebate form, there is a section to write in the serial number which is the case for almost all rebate forms that require a serial number at all. When it talks about the UPC barcode, thats all you need.

Make a copy of the whole label, and then send in the whole label. It's not like having that label is essential to your enjoyment of the product. 😉

Yeah I just noticed that. The only other weird thing is their website can't find the rebate. www.seagaterebates.com
I picked 160 gig ata hard drive, 08-02-2005 for the date of purchase, and circuit city as the store.

Using firefox, it tells me that they're experiencing technical difficulties and to try later.
Using IE, it just tells me 0 rebates found.

I hate rebates like these. The Circuit city one was simple and my onrebate.com rebates have been painless as well.
