I have been out of the loop for about 1-2 years now.
My current system is running on an
INTEL D865GBF MOBO with a P4 3.0Gig CPU
1GB Twin pairs of 512 Hyperx gaming (Kingston)
ATI Raedon 9800 Pro
Good CL sound card
Two WD HDs 7200RPMs 8 MB Caches (500GBs)
Win XP SP 2 HOME
Alum Case Lian Lian
Antec 480Watt PSU
I have not been watching the new technology in regards to MOBOs lately (2yrs).
I basically use my PC to use Excel and for high demand 3D games, like HL2, EQ2, Doom3.
I am confused as to which proven stable, new MOBO I should inquire about buying.
Here is why I am posting...
I want to upgrade the motherboard, CPU, Memory and Video Card without reinstalling my OS. There would so so so many items I would have to reinstall.
Is this posisble and if it is, what do you posters (Much smarter than me), reccomend?
I will spend as much as I need to, to make this happen. (at least 2 GBs of memory)
Thanks in advance..ALSO I will not be overclocking.
