Question about a Dazzle

So I got a dazzle digital video creator fro real cheap from a friend.

It is USB, here is my problem, whenever I try to use it, my mouse (intellimouse explorer, also USB) stops working. Is this because the dazzle is using to much bandwidth? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
