Question about a broken keyboard

Howdy,

My idiot brother spilt a coke or something sticky on my wireless keyboard that i keep in the living room for my htpc. I know something stickey was spilt on it. He just said 'it just stopped working'. It's not even worth arguing over, either way, the keyboard is screwy. Is there even hope to repair it? When i press any key on the qwerty row, it sends 2 letters to my comp.

You can try taking it apart and cleaning it. There's a decent chance it'll be okay.

Unscrew the back and get washing.

I took out all the keys and washed them in soap, but that took forever.

I imagine you can just soak the entire thing at once.


Still belongs in general hardware though 😉

Take the batteries out and put it in the dishwasher. Repeat as necessary.
