Ive seen that people always refer to Bluecore as being the one you can overclock the most. If i just buy a 1.2 Ghz anywhere will i get the blue or is there a chance that I will get green core?? also, im looking at overclocking this thing to 1350 or 1400 whats my chances of getting a chip that will do that? or maybe i should just order from compuwiz or www.overclockers.com, but that kinda takes the fun out of it.

all answers are very much appreciated

From what I have read, any 900mhz+ tbird manufactured after june 2000 has copper interconnects (color doesnt matter). I only read this once so I am not completely convinced but took the leap myself and ordered a tbird 1Ghz tonight..guess we will see. I ordered from a dealer that has a high turnaround on these chips to increase my chances (mwave).

A guaranteed blue core is what, about $30 more or so? If its that important you might want to just bite the bullet for peace of mind. Good luck.

edit: re-read post on usenet and corrected info.
