Question about 600m Modular Battery

First

Lifer
I'm about to get my 600m laptop and I was wondering if the modular battery (the one that allows you to use two batteries at once) is easy to use when you're literally on the go; i.e. are you bothered by the second battery versus just the plain primary battery when you're not at home and are constantly moving from place to place.

It's very easy to use. I'm not sure what you mean by bothered... It works just like another optical device. You hotswap it in and you're ready to go. The machine as a whole gets a bit heavier and you can't use your optical drive, but other than that there is no inconvenience.

another comment on that. the modular battery gets drained first then the primary battery when you have both installed and are not using the ac adapter. just in case you were wondering.

By bothered I mean is it too heavy, does it take too long to install, etc.

Thanks for the response guys, and any others. 🙂

nah, they are real easy to swap out. the extra battery is less than a pound. you can even hot swap them using the 'safely remove hardware' icon in the system tray (winXP). secondary battery does drain first. The only real problem is, since there is only 1 modular bay, you can't watch a DVD or play some games while on dual batteries.
