Question about 5G iPod. "Audio," "Free Space"..."Other?" **UPDATED** Solved!!

All I have is music on my iPod. No videos, no pictures and one game (Tetris). What's "other?" Seems rather large to just be the file system or album art.

I don't have anything in other on my iPod, but when I used it to move some files they showed up in other. Check to see if you actidentally dragged anything onto your iPods drive.

Nope, haven't dropped anything there. I don't even have it enabled for disk use.

the internal database and rom/firmware/os files?

It probably creates a decently sized database to catalogue all the music as well as the os and instructions.

Maybe "Other" is the iPod OS.

My other has jumped up to 250mb before. I don't know what it is. But it fluctuates.

It makes sense..
my "other" is 295 MB and i checked right now thanks to that nifty Terminal code, and album art takes up 211MB of space for 2586 songs. Im guessing you have more than that?
