Question about 540p scanning rate on HDTV.

A tv i want got 1080i/540p scanning rate.

What will happen to stuff i look that is in 480 p/480i ? Will it be converted into 540p to look better?

Also

What will happen to stuff i look that is in 720p? Will it be reduced to 540p?

Yes, at least my Toshiba does. Unless its 1080i, it'll be converted to 540P.

Ok but its there a MAJOR difference between 480 and 720? Or is it minor?

I only have 480 connected, so I can't comment on the 720P part. Sorry.
