Hi! I'm new to this forum and know only a minimal amount about speakers in general! I don't actually have that much experience with them so be patient please
.
I'm wondering if I can make a 4.1 speaker setup for my PC, it will mainly be for music, with some gaming on the side, out of a pair of audioengine a5+s (already have these), some audioengine a2s as the rear speakers (don't have these), and a Polk psw110 for the sub.
I am big into music and listen to a lot of different genres so the sub definitely shouldn't be tailored towards home theater. The speakers would be placed in my room with my PC (the room is not very big but I guess it's normal for a bedroom). The sub doesn't need to be all that large, just hopefully as tight sounding as my budget allows (around 200 dollars max) and not boomy like most home theater subs seem to be!
I was thinking that I could hook my sub up to my A5s, and then I could connect my A2s to the sub, with my A5s connected to the PC obviously, would this work? I'm a noob in this area so if this sounds ridiculous let me know please!
Also if you have other sub suggestions or any other comments feel free to say it! I'm open to everything! I also do have a sound card that supports up to 5.1 surround sound systems, it's designed for gaming but it sounds good with music too! Thanks for your time!()
