How do I protect a 2N3055 transistor against faults like overcurrent or overvoltage in a DIY project? What protection circuits or methods can be used? I googled for the answer and only saw some articles and couldn't get the full answer, does anyone have a better suggestion? Thank you so much.

Use Stable secure power supply.

Otherwise, I would not spend money on protecting $1.44 component.
