I havent been able to get my computer upgrade working. I changed was my mobo from an abit kt7 to a shuttle ak31 rev 3.1 and my proc from a 1 ghz tbird to a 1.4 ghz xp. The thing is, I've gone through 3 mobos and 2 processors but NONE of them seemed to work. Whenever I call shuttle the guy there tells me its my power supply. Well my power supply is an antec 250w ps and he asked me to check the amps on the 5v and its 25a. The guy said thats the absolute minumum you need. The thing is, my fans and all turn on and there seems to be power everywhere except theres something wrong w/ the motherboard or processor (no beep). The strange thing is that the FIRST ak31 motherboard i had worked fine (but the agp slot was broken so i had to return it). So heres my question. What would having a weak power supply do? Could it possibly be the cause of my woes?
