Question: 98SE or Windows2000 for my dad, help him out

here is the situation

my dad dosent know what os to run

here is what he has and does:

computer:

P3800@1G
Soyo BX w/ onboard hotpoint IDE RAID 100 contorller (not needed right now)
27gig IBM IDE
20gig Maxtor
256mb ram
Prophet DDR Gforce
SB Live
SMC 10/100 PCI
adaptec 2920c
Plex 40x scsi
S&F 8x20 scsi


what he does:

BURNS 24/7 (all music)
downloads mp3's all day and night
plays some games but not heavy
Internet Browsing




ok he needs everyones opinion on this

win2k.
it'll be great for him since he's on it all day.
and he won't suffer in games because nvidia has great drivers for win2k.

check the compatibility for which games he plays. Otherwise win2k is perfect for him

This one's a no-brainer--win2k is the superior choice.

Just tosing in another vote for 2K, just as long all hardware is supported, and the games are fairly recent, (ie. such as Counter-Strike, but not the original Doom)
