Question: 3-Line Phone needs DSL Filter

Hey,

I recently installed DSL, which works like a charm, on my 3-Line phone.
The 2-line dsl filters work but obviously filter out my 3rd line.

1) Are there 3 or more line filters available for purchase?
2) Is there a way around this problem if filters are unavailable?
(Is there a doc out there for making your own filters?)

Thanks!

Install a whole-house splitter (EBay search for "Siecor ADSL Splitter") on the line that has ADSL on it. This is best for signal quality anyway and sidesteps the whole problem.

Thanks for the reply.

How does the Siecor ADSL Filter work? Does it split the phone line into two lines: one for data and the other for voice?

If so, how does this help me? How would I specify the outlet which my DSL is connected? The other option would be to wire the data line through the house, which would suck!

Running one splitter for the whole place would mean you'd have to run a dedicated line for data to the dsl modems location, but it would take away the hassle of filtering the other lines. Well worth the time for the little bit of hassle. If you can't/don't want to pull the cable and can't find a 3 line filter (never needed one myself) you could just get all ghetto and snip the end, and split it out into jacks you could use filters on, then recombine it after the filter I guess.

Thanks for all the great info. I'm currently weighing my options.

Do all the lines for each of the 3 phone numbers run throughout the house or are they combined earlier? If they all run through the house individually and bunched, I guess it might be easiest to snip and split the jacks.
