How can the house legally make them come with them just for playing well. They said themselves they were not cheating. If the guy says fine I'll just take my money and leave and they say no you have to come with us. How can that be legal. Heck it showed them threatening with trespassing...wouldn't they practically be kidnapping

i just finished the book. only one guy was backroomed and he was caught completely by surprise. when he asked if they were holding him against his will or accusing him of cheating, they let him leave.

The thing is if you dont go they will take you down, cuff you and backroom you. Take your money accuse you of cheating and throw you out in the alley. I dont know the laws anywhere else but In Nevada the casino security guards have almost complete power inside the building.

Our gaming laws in Nevada allow to detain and question suspect cheaters and underage gamblers. You are videotaped during the questioning for Gaming Control. We can also refuse wagers at anytime for any reason.

Thanks for the responses...I guess it goes to show what a powerful lobby can do when it comes to getting laws passed.

The most that they can do legally is kick you out and tell you that you will be arrested for trespassing if you come back.

No you can be charged and prosecuted for cheating and it has been done. Card counting is not considered cheating by gaming control but you will get your @ss listed in the Griffin book for doing it.

Card counting is looked down upon. They catch they can/will accuse you of cheating. And since the laws in nevada favor gaming, the gambler will loose.

I saw the special on the history channel. and just ordered the book. It looks like an interesting story.

And they say Howard Hughes got the mob out of Vegas. Vegas is run by the all might dollar. The house is a sore looser and acts as such. That's why if you are going to "count cards" bring a audio recorder with you for proof of the extortion and strong arm tatics used against you for playing smart.
