I'm going to be getting a 9700 non pro in the near future. When I get this, what exactly does the softmod do? Does it change the clock speeds and overclock it? Or is it jsut software and make it look like its a pro?
Also, if I ever have to send the card in, will they notice I used the softmod? What risks do I run with the softmod?
One more thing, what is the difference between flashing it with a 9700 pro bios and softmodding it?
