i'm building a comptuer,
want this card in my syste
geforce2 gts 32mb ddr
does my mother board have to be ddr compatible in order for card to work?

mother board i was thinkin was the msi turbo which obviously is not ddr compatible.
if i have a video card that is ddr does the mb have to be ddr compatible?
and also
if i was to get ddr board, would the dimm memories work or i must have ddr memory also?

u do not need to have DDR support on your motherboard in order to have a DDR video card!
I have a Abit KA7-100 with GF2 GTS 32MB DDR...and it runs fine. hope that helps.

Video card memory is not related to main system memory. So if you get a non-DDR motherboard, you can get a DDR video card. As to your second question, I think there are some DDR motherboards that support SDRAM, but you can't just stick a SDR module into a DDR slot, they are different. The ones that support both have both kinds of slots.
