this was more of a random thought that popped into my head recently and i figured it would be good to get a bunch of opinions on. this may ring more for gamers or some other single one pursuit but everyone please drop your opinions and thoughts.

1. do you consider yourself addicted to the internet?
2. do you consider the time you spend online as "wasted"
3. lastly, can you achieve a happy balance between computer and "real life" so to speak (putting it that way is biased isnt it.) some elaboration on what this balance is would be helpful
4. at what point in your online dealings do you actually think "ok maybe this is to far"

elaborate as much as you want, just kinda trying to spark some reflection from people here.

my answers

1. no. no in the sense that i no longer feel like it controls my life, but yes in the sense that it still has an influence. (this really relates to gaming specifically but w/e)
2. yes. i think its a huge way where i can simply not do anything productive, most of the time im mindlessly refreshing random sites anyway. but then again, is watching tv any better?
3. cant answer this one, id be tempted to say no, but i know that i certainly am not there yet.
4. kinda related to the atot vent server. since the majority of these people you have never met, is it worthwhile to spend that much time with them?

1. at one point, yes. not now though.
2. not really. but ATOT is wasted time. 😀
3. yeah.... i can easily put this thing away for weeks and spend time with my fiance. 🙂
4. that would depend on if i am shirking in my responsibilities because i want to do stuff online. i've done it before, and i was aware of it, but i didn't want to stop. things change when you meet the right person though. 🙂
