Query about using different sizes sticks of DDR

I let myself impulse buy a 512MB stick of PC2400 RAM this afternoon. I currently have a 256MB stick of PC2400 RAM in my machine. Does anyone think that there could be conflicts/problems if I put both sticks in my machine?
