Quarter of a tank of Shell V-Power (99 Octane) + -1 degree outside =

i bet your tires aren't quicker

It's almost impossible to put the power down on normal roads, but there are stretches of road I've been down in the last week with a more coarse road surface which allows all power to be put down in second without the DSC kicking in.

I must say, I do enjoy my driving. 😎

Before the US guys start complaining about not having 99 octane fuel, remember that the US and European rating scales are different and 99 octane in the UK is the equivalent of 94 octane in the US.

why can't people just use units with their numbers?

congrats for enjoying your ride though! I sometimes enjoy making the Expedition go farther than it should. It's fun sometimes pushing a vehicle that isn't designed at all for pushing. I can't gun it from a stop though, the heavy weight of the vehicle was putting cracks on the inside (under the truck) area of the tire near the wheel..

Dangerous to say the least 🙁

i love v-power, i also notice a difference when i use it (93 octane here in pittsburgh). but the local brand keeps suckering me in with their 10 cents off w/ groceries deal

edit: and that sounds much "raspier" than any m3 i've ever heard. is it not stock? could be your cell phone mic also i guess

still sounds hot though

The exhaust system is stock. I think it?s the poor mic on the camera phone which is misrepresenting the true sound of the exhaust rasp - it's not as intense as the video portrays. I might take some more vids at some point, but if I do I?ll use a decent video recorder to capture a better picture and sound.

That?s something I would absolutely love to do, I really would, but it?s just not cost effective in the long run.

The S54 is such a sweet engine, though.

Thing is, I?m saving for a new car. Second-hand (year old) E92 M3 prices are dropping rapidly, it?s great. Even been looking at an S5.

I really want a 997 GT3, but that?s well out of my price range ATM. Drool

You have excellent taste 🙂

Yeah Dinan is $$$, no doubt, but quality stuff.

I work down the street from RUF, so I get to get constant eye/ear candy of ridiculously awesome Porsches Mon-Fri!

The roads in the video are radical. What are those jagged lines like \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ for? A blinking yellow before it turns green? On some parts it looks like you were driving the wrong way, it said bus lane and you were going the opposide way? Or were you just passing a guy.

And the roads are greasy as fook right now. It's not possible to turn off DSC and apply any sort of grunt without playing catch with the rear end. We need some serious rain to wash the roads clean.

Lol, I've pretty much forgot most of my highway code. 😱

RE: VVVVVVV - I believe it means you're not allowed to park your car in that area. It's for zebra crossings or something.

I?m not sure what the blinking yellow light indicates before the green light comes on, but when there?s a solid yellow it means the lights are turning red, so it?s a warning.

Most of the streets I drove down were part of a one way system. All the roads around my town centre are pretty much all based on a one way system.

I should probably reread the highway code. :Q
