I don't know about you, but the last place I want to be in a biochemical attack is trapped in this thing. I'm either getting the hell out of dodge, or, if its too late, I'm going to hooters for some hotwings as my last meal.
This thing is billed as the safest bed ever. Safe from what? I don't think I'm going to be getting much sleep if the outside world has gone to crap just because I'm entombed in a pine box with a tv and maybe some dvd porn. Heck, If I bought one of these for my wife and I she would probably stock it with V-8 and the DVD version of the entire Gilmore girls series. I would spend my last days screaming for sweet death!
Not only that, but, I ask you, what the hell hapopens if the thing malfunctions? I didn't see a manual overide in their list of options! My wife will not be pleased if she comes home after a business trip to find her starved and dessicated hubby trapped in this coffin of the future. Although I guess it would be convenient for her, she could just call bulk pickup and have the people haul me off to the dump!
Now, that said, has anyone here given any thought to ways to quickly and efficiently monitor and detect a biochemical threat?
Radiological is easy, just put up some geiger counters around town and continuously monitor them.
Biological is a different story. Each agent is different and few can be detected with the same assay.
Any thoughts?
