Hi,
The Noise from this hard drive is almost unbearable.. EXtremely high pitched noise is driving me crazy. It has happened before but usually stopped within a few minutes, now it is constant. I am considering ear plugs while on my computer.
What does this noise mean? I know it isn't good but does it mean my drive is on its last leg? (or platter...LOL ) Any idea how long she has before she kicks the bucket?
Any info or advice would be appreciated.
I am sure that I probably need a new hard drive. Perhaps I will get the IBM DeskStar 60gb a little sooner than planned. If I did it would connect to a Abit ZM6 mb right?
