Quantum Physics for Dummies?

In AP Physics we have to research and prepare a lecture on an aspect of quantum physics. I chose to cover Quantum Chromodynamics, which is pretty interesting, but quite confusing. I'm starting to understand the stuff, but after only one semester (AP = 1 semester) of Physics, it's a lot to tackle. Every source I use usually describes things in terms of concepts I don't even begin to understand.

My request: Does anyone have a website or specific book that would help me understand the fundamentals of quantum physics and/or Quantum Chromodynamics?
 
I'm a big fan of the show (watch the reruns a lot on A&E), but that doesn't help a whole lot. Sam never went into quarks, neutrinos, and colour😉
