And shouldn't enabling DMA in Winbloze work? When I had 98 installed, I had my 3 HDs in the computer (Quantun LM, Quantum Bigfoot and Seagate Medalist), and for the Bigfoot and Medalist, DMA stayed enabled, while on the LM if I checked it, it would just be off again when I rebooted.

Is there any way to enable ATA33 for my drive? Or maybe my cables are too old and don't support it? Help...

OK I finally got it enabled... I updated my BIOS and it seemed to do the trick! Woohoo! Doubled my transfer rate.
