I have an Epox EP-8KHA+ that has a Fireball LM30 connected to it. I've enabled the UDMA selection in the devcie manager and I've loaded the latest 4in1 drivers, but still the working mode that is listed for the hard drive is PIO. Does anyone know of a problem with either device or the combo? Is there a utility somewhere that will force UDMA?

Thanks!

Is the VIA utility giving you the information? If so, I know that program to be a little flaky sometimes... If your harddrive is in PIO mode you would see serious performance problems.. Try running a benchmark on your drive.. Also make sure your BIOS recognizes it as a UDMA (1,2,3,4,5,6,).. Good luck.
