Interesting. Wonder if this will be another Alan Wake scenario.

Can't wait to see them benchmarks!

Holy monkey feces!!!!

HOW DO I GET THE WINDOWS 10 VERSION OF THE GAME FOR FREE?

Starting February 11, anyone who pre-orders the digital version of “Quantum Break” for Xbox One through the Xbox Store will receive the Windows 10 version of the game for free, downloadable at the Windows Store via redemption code. The pre-order offer also applies for those who redeem a digital code purchased from participating retailers or from the Xbox One Special Edition Quantum Break Bundle by April 5, 2016.

Guess I'll be be pre-ordering this for my nephews and pocketing the free PC version. (Of course I'm sure this will all be tied to their Gamer Tag/Windows Live account.) Fine by me! I'll get myself a copy when it's <$5.

Remedy has a good track record with Max Payne 1 and 2, the more recent Alan Wake.

Decent titles.

Considering that, and considering it's dx12 only, and considering the graphics of Alan Wake (which I think are pretty nice), I think it will look great and be a great game.

That said, I ain't pre ordering anything ever.

But I think it's cool that MS is starting to tie the Xbox One and PC together. To me, that's the smart move that makes the PS4 an impossibility to compete against.

Imagine if the next Xbox is not only backwards compatible, but also PC compatible. Since PC iGPUs are getting faster and faster, imagine if you could get a game on the next gen Xbox One, but still be able to play it on your laptop on the go at Xbox One level graphics? Just with your iGPU? I think that's a good deal and a great way to push the Xbox/PC platform and get young men to get new windows laptops for college rather than apple or androids.

I'm on the fence of graphics. Alan Wake is the epitome of console downgrades.

Remedy was originally working with Intel while making Alan Wake. Microsoft sneaks in buys Remedy studios, slaps "Only on Xbox 360 sticker" and Alan Wake goes through the process of downgrade city ending up being a visual shadow of what it once was.

All that in mind, the game was solid. However, I don't have high expectations on the visual side. I expect MSFT is going to hinder the PC port to not make the XBone version a laughing stock.

EDIT:
Call me cynical, but I do not pre-order games any more.

And you shouldn't, especially digital only versions, if the pot isn't sweet enough. For me, I owe the nephews a game, and welps I get a game out of it. So It's really just $30 for me.

Cause Dx12 was supposed to lower CPU overhead and get more out of your GPU....against a system like that the Xbox looks like a tin can, let's hope it's because they pimped up the PC version and not because of yet-another-crappy-console-port.

Damn...55Gb as well!

I think this is a game to wait for reviews and impressions before budging. At any rate I'm looking forward to the DX12 benchmarks and all the discussions it brings.

I think that merits a TBD or when released after it.

I'm kind of interested enough I might just snag it as a benchmark eye candy show.

Exactly my thoughts. People excited about DX12 because of better utilized hardware. First DX12 game needs a 4790 and 980ti/FuryX? That's recommended, so that means medium quality at 1080p. I am guessing that the whole "get more from your hardware thing" is just how they plan on selling the API. It doesn't actually carry over into reality in a practical way like we had hoped.
I remember big promises from previous DX versions. None of that crap ever really happened.

Don't forget, DX12 makes it possible to utilize both iGP + discrete GPU.

Perhaps the i7 4790 recommendation could be because the iGP is used for something, and for Intel, DX12 is only supported on Haswell and later

Recommended doesn't mean medium quality at 1080p. It could, although I personally doubt it, but you can't assume that it does. Some games run fine almost maxed out on recommended specs.

Like Tesselation. Definitely didn't happen. Also, compute based shaders and compute effects definitely didn't happen either.

System requirements are irrelevant to whether the game is efficiently using hardware. You can't solve a single equation with two variables except in terms of each other. It remains to be seen how the game really looks. If they've got a hard floor because of API support, it makes sense to define that as the minimum no matter what and work from there, which is a much higher minimum than most games, so it'd make sense for the higher qualities to be higher as well.

Same reason the second half of the first Halo game was crap. Went from being PC?Mac only to a console port mid way through development.

hopefully the game will run well on a 260X, since it's also running on the Xbox One.

That's strange..considering the specs of the XBONE are not even close to that.
