Go here: buy.com

Go here for rebate: Quantum Rebate Form

Then go somewhere else for your coupon (unfortunately I think the coupon is for new customers only, but you guys know how to get around that). Anyways, that's $136.95 - $30 (Coupon) - $30 (Rebate), making the drive cost $76.95 when you get the subtotal over $150.

I've seen others post a similar deal, but all have been for like $100. I don't know why.

[edit: try this buy.com one]

One problem with this:

Staples is not a 'Quantum Authorized Marketer'. Odds are not good that you'll ever see the rebate.

Actually two problems:

Odds are not good that Staples will let the stackable coupons slip through.

If it is buy.com that show at $136.95, how you can use the $30 coupon. If you want to use $30 cupon then you got to buy something else to make it over $150.
PS: The cupon still good but you got to call the csr at 1 888 880 1030 to credit that 30 bucks.

Add: You can get 40G for $114(179-30coupon-35MIR).
Dont forget $5.95 for shipping.

The rebate link you have listed for the HDD at buy.com do not match. The link to the buy.com hard drive did have a promotion but I believe that rebate ended at the end of last year. I'm still waiting on my rebate for that one. The rebate link you have is for the Quantum AS hard drives, while the one at buy.com is a Quantum LM hard drive, so be careful because you probably won't get this rebate.

max, read the rebate on Quantums site ...as I remember it says AS at the beginning and LM towards the end. Made me wonder If it would apply to either. edit. i just checked...

To receive your rebate offer on Quantum?s Fireball Plus LM 10 GB, 15 GB, 20 GB and 30 GB drive purchased between January 1 and March 31, 2001, please print out this form and submit a signed and completed copy along with your receipt/invoice from The Quantum Store or one of Quantum Authorized Marketers.* Offer limited to 5 units per capacity.

rebate form states AS though.....maybe worth a call. ( I'd rather have the 45GB IBM 75GXP for $133.95)

hey maxcom, yea i didn't see that:

To receive your rebate offer on Quantum?s Fireball Plus LM 10 GB, 15 GB, 20 GB and 30 GB drive purchased between January 1 and March 31, 2001, please print out this form and submit a signed and completed copy along with your receipt/invoice from The Quantum Store or one of Quantum Authorized Marketers.* Offer limited to 5 units per capacity.

but, unless i didn't see something right again, when you click on the link to fill out the rebate, it requires you to check which hard drive you are getting the rebate for. All of the hard drives there are the AS series not the LM series. It's worth a call, but I think this rebate is for AS drives.

Hum, the AS is the newer drive (it replaces the LM series), yet it's cheaper as well as having a MIR. What the heck is Quantum pricing department thinking? :)
