Quality Value Ram?

Can anyone make a recommendation on quality value ram that had decent OC ability. I've been watching the OCZ Value VX but my mobo only goes up to 2.9v (and I'm not comfortable with the volt mod :)

The reviews in newegg.com indicate the Kingmax PC3200 512x2 can usually hit 220mhz which would be ok for me.

I basically just don't want to buy something, OC it to 203mhz and hit a wall with it.

Has anyone run the Value VX at 2.9v and hit for example 220mhz@2-2-2?

I know I can't get TCCD speeds for cheap, I'm just looking for a small but reliable OC.

Thanks,

it doesnt really matter as you can overclock to your hearts content using a memory divider with no latency hit. I use corsair value select and have a pretty decent overclock! Just a FYI.

Thanks for the reply Azzy.
So, since I'm on a budget, you would recommend to go for the best value memory, drop the divider to 166 and then OC the CPU? That never crossed my mind (being a n00b overclocker and all)
Thanks for the input.

I'd still like to know if anyone has luck running the value VX's@2.9v as they are not much more expensive than the Corsair VS.

I got 2 X 512MB Corsair Value Select running @ 233MHz, 2.8V, 2.5-3-3-6 manually adjusted timing, 1T command rate,

and operating at 1:1 with the FSB (no divider) in my system.

My Value VX can run 2-2-2 at 200MHz with 2.9 volts (I haven't tried anything higher without higher voltage), but I don't know how guaranteed this is though. I would advise getting the Corsair VS over UTT if you only plan on giving them 2.9 volts.

value VX isn't much of a value IMO.

zebo linked to some cheap 2-2-2 ram the other day, very nicely priced.
