Do you have the new Incubus album? Not that I'm asking for it, because that'd be illegal.

I have a serious question, I'm a little bit deaf in both ears, so I always just assumed that I wouldn't be able to appreciate good quality sound. Now I'm having second thoughts. Maybe I should head out to tweeter and try out some of their headphones?

HD497's at Circuit city
1. Closed or at least quiet - won;t bother your neighbors so you can use it on palens etc
2. CHEAp
3. EXCELLENT quality.

It's only competition in this pricerange is the Grado s60 and that is openly designed which means it isn;t suitable for quiet areas (library, planes etc)

I think the CD sound thing fixed most of it- we shall see. There's still some skipping that annoys me though. Do you know how to kill that? It's not a CD. Can I allot my player more resources or something?

1. What type of file are you trying to play tha does this?
2. How fast is your pc?
3. What soundcard do you have?

Missed this...

1. MP3 through Winamp 5. 128k, 192k, 320k all give this.
2. AMD 2100+ on an NF7-S v2.0 with soundstorm.
3. Onboard soundstorm

WTF, the beeping comes back. It reacts to clicking and stuff sometimes, but it's not a windows sound.

The realtek dacs suck.
If you use the optical out to a reciever, the sound is so much better.

<--- has a nf7-s with optical out to a klipsch 5.1 preamp.

How inexpensively do you think I can get an optical _________ anything that will kill this noise? It really stands out with the nice cans.
