Quality PSU really makes the difference!

I went from an Antec 300w non-amd certified PSU to an Enermax 350w certified PSU and boy does it make a difference, now it runs 146fsb perfectly @ stock CPU/DDR voltage, couldn't get above 140 before

you guys were right about nice PSU's heh

sidenote, I'm running an Antec SOHO fileserver (1030) case with 2 80mm exhaust fans, the above power supply which has one 80mm and one 92mm fans, stock northbridge chipset, video card (visiontek gef3 ti 200) stock cooling setup, 2 80mm's in front, one for the hd bay and one for main intake and swapped out my thermaltake 6cu+ 7000rpm fan for one from a 6CU NON-PLUS which is 4500rpm

Room temperature is roughly 65-70f degrees and the CPU idles @ 39c, mainboard @ 21c, CPU goes up to about 42 or 43c under FULL load

can't really expect much more from an air setup unless I go get some annoying fans, it's very reasonably quiet as is

Antec PSUs are typically better than Enermax PSUs. Odds are you really only needed more power, or you had a faulty unit.

Well, if the PSU could up the O/Cing & remain stable...brand doesn't really matter. But its nice to get a branded one just to have a piece of mind tht u will be getting "quality power".
