quality of tv out on vid cards

Whats the quality and max res of the new gen video cards.

i am in the middle of building mame cabinet and i want to hook my computer up to a 25'' TV and wondering what the quality is.

any suggestions?

not sure

i thought all tv's had standard resolution something like.....525 lines of res for NTSC
and 640 odd for pal

it'll jus fill the screen, with the Tv's working resolution and refresh rate....you have no control over it

Let's face it - TV set resolution is 360x480 visible (525 total lines). No more no less. (PAL is 360x576.) So anything above 640x480 you feed into a TV-out circuitry is going to be intermangled down to the 480 line format and 5 MHz pixel bandwidth that this standard allows.

Radeon cards have good signal quality, and very tweakable image position, size and sharpness (that on SVideo only).
