I was looking to upgrade my old Voodoo3 3000 since I have upgraded everything else on my computer and this seems to be the bottleneck. I need a (cheap, low-end) video card with tv-out for games, divx and other stuff.

My first choice was the Radeon LE w/ tv-out but they stopped making that. ATI is known for the high-quality tv-out. I don't want the Radeon VE cause performance is really poor.

Next option is the Geforce MX but how is the tv-out on these (in comparison with Voodoo3 3000 if possible).

Of course, I am open to other suggestions. Looking to spend around $90(maybe more for the Kyro II when that comes out) with both high performance and quality tv-out.

I have a TNT2 Ultra with the same Conextant chip that the GF2MX uses and I find the TV out to be great, well.... let me explain, it wasn't all that great until I got a peice of software called "TVTool" that is made for TV-out with Nvidia cards, it gives you all the power that Nvidia shoud have written into their driver package in the first place (and more, nudge nudge wink wink)
Now I can watch DVD's at full screen with four point surround sound from my 32" tv accross the room.

i've seen a lots of review of MX comparison and find out that most of them rate MSI 8818 for the best tvout quality. thats what i got for my setup. while the tvout quality is excelent, the 2d quality is somewhat poor .

I was planning to get MSI 8818. I am wondering if it is an improvement over my voodoo3 3000.
