You need to be a bit more specific about "this kind of TV". What series/year of Aquos, exactly?

Are you talking about new or used? 37" LCD is not a class. You need to give the full model number of the TV you're interested.

I've played with the 1080p 37" Aquos quite a bit (don;t know the model number, it was ex's). It's a very nice TV, I absolutely loved the remote it came with. I was tempted to buy one for myself but after checking out some reviews went with the Samsung LN40A530 instead.

I have a 46" Aquos 62 series, and it is a great HDTV. The 64 series can be had for a good price lately, too. I would rather have a Sharp than some other cheap knockoff rebadged LCD panel any day. I have no noticeable clouding or banding on my Aquos. There is one dark pixel near the center that is evident on it if you stand a foot away from the screen and look for it. Other than that small flaw, I think it is a nice LCD for the price. It also has a plasma look to it, too. But if you go to AVS Forum you will see many posts about banding or clouding problems with the Sharp LCDs and many other brands. I would recommend looking there for info about any LCD before you buy one.

That being said, I just bought a new 120hz 46" Samsung 6 series LCD for my other HT room. And really, the 60hz Sharp still stands up well compared to it.

Your new disposable flat panel TV This is a must read before you decide to buy a cheap off brand HDTV.

I'm buying it used. It was bought Sept of 07, hasn't been used very much. I don't know the model number yet, but was more looking for a general impression from any users.

It differs somewhat model by model. We can't give you a general impression about a particular brand name.

Well we can praise all we want about our model's, but the one that you are looking at may have a defect. Ask for the model number the next time you see the person selling it.
