Hey guys.,

IF was to hook up my SHarp LC-G45D5u to my Computer, would I get as clear picture quality as my 30" cinema display? I'm trying to use this HDTV Out dongle I got with my 7800 512 but It seems to be miscoloring and I can't allow the primary display to show both the picture on my 30" and my 45" at different resolutions, or configure 2 seperate displays to both display primarily

Any suggestions?

What would hte picture quality be like at @ 1080p for my tv as well?

Think of 1080p as 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The 7800 can easily display both a 2560 x 1600 and a 1920 x 1080 display at the same time. They need to be configured as separate displays though.

Upscaling standard res TV or DVD can yield some improvements although the best quality will come from 1080i or 1080p sources.

You will want to connect the Sharp display using a DVI cable - I don't know if you will need an HDMI convertor or not.

The TV has both DVI/HDMI inputs,
It supports boht no problem. IF I was too hook it up, I have an SLI setup does this pose as a problem?

And how do I get both displays to get the SAME picture without making it that stupid "carry over to next window" thing?

There are lots of options within the nVidia drivers to do with running multiple monitors.

To display the same thing you need to run a cloned display - however both monitors must run at the same resollution to do that.

I use Dualview though which allows you to run different resolutions on each display. Through some other options it is possible to define what application displays in which monitor. For best results it is worth experimenting.

You should use the second DVI oputput from the primary card to drive the Sharp display. And a simple DVI single link cable will suffice.

When you're all set up play some of the quicktime 1080p clips on the Sharp. It should be jaw dropping.
