so I have one of these.

And recently it's been acting up. after running a while it'll randomly shut off (not good when doing a 9hr+ backup...) and just yesterday I noticed that jiggling the power cord when it's been on for a while will cause it to stop and start. it only does this when it's warm.

I'm thinking that something in it heats up and expands, and either causes a short or breaks a connection, losing power.

it looks like a flex ATX power supply... after some googling, it looks like there are a number of power supplies that will fit in this case.

here's one:

my question is, how do I pick a good one? I'd like one that's stable, well made and well vented, with enough power for 5 big drives. This one has a nice big fan, but the fan is in the wrong place for this enclosure (would be great if it was on the back of the unit as opposed to the front). Quiet isn't a huge deal, but it's a plus.

edit: googling the model number from the flaky PSU got me this. looks like it's an FSP OEM. bah.

I guess my question is, who makes good power supplies these days?
