Quality DVD-R Media?

Hello,

I was wondering what everyone reccommends for backing up DVD's to DVD-Rs. I was wondering because the first brand I used, KHypermedia(cheapo that was on sale), gave me trouble. It would write just fine, but during playback it would skip the entire time. I was told that Fujifilm is a good one so I tried that and it seemed to work just fine. I was just wondering what everyone would reccommend to buy or reccommend to not buy because I plan to order a bunch online but I don't want to get something thats not going to work. Thanks.

Ritek's are good. Check the Hot Deals thread. A 50 pk spindle can be had for $30 and that includes free shipping.

my favorite is Optodisc.
there is a brand called Fotis that are a "no name" DVD which actually use Optodisc discs. they are cheap, and they work amazing.

I've used many different kinds (at least 10 different ones)

Ritek is by far the best that i've come across, and when you can pick up a 50pk for $30, there is really no reason to get anything else.

That's because you own a Pioneer drive.😉

Those pioneers will burn anything including the crapiest media & do it good.🙂

Other burners dont do so good on cheap media.

The only good cheap media I've found is Ritek, and it's the Ritek G04's and G05's that are the good ones. The older G03's weren't very good.
