Quality affordable sun glasses?

I'm looking for a pair of sub-$100 (as close to $50 as possible) sunglasses that don't suck..Protection from the sun is what's importnat and not really style.. Any ideas? I'm not looking for $10 cheap-os but good glasses with polarized lenses and steller UV protection.. Any ideas?

P.S. I heard "7 layered lenses" are the best - any affordable ones out there?

I should add that a company lead would be good enough.. I don't know the field at all and just know of Ray Ban and Oakley.. I'm sure there must be tons of companies making quality products..
