I agree and that situation is visible for all. But obviously there must be more to it that we dont know why the value of qq is so high. The patents must be where its hidden or what?
Btw who needs all the lte+ speed? Where is it needed?

Digital radio won't bring more speed only, but will bring down their costs in line with the Moore's law.

I think there was an individual on here who claimed that Qualcomm would be making more money than Intel and that's how it would be forevermore.

Guess not.

Its actually quite funny when you consider that Intel made $3 billion on $13.5 billion of sales, and Qualcomm made $1.5 billion on less than half that.

Intel has over 104000 employees and Qualcomm has 26000,ie, 1/4 of that.

They also have ober $30 billion in cash and hardly any debt which AFAIK is more than Intel which is billions more in debt(AFAIK,over $10 billion in longterm debt).

They are doing very well for a company of their size.

Looking at its size I would expect Intel would to be doing far better.

Having 30 billion$ in cash is not a good sign for a company at all, because it means you dont know what to reinvest it in to make even more money and expand. Also you forget all the money Intel got in fabs. Qualcomm is fabless.

Meh.

All,I see is a company which is doing well, and people finding ways to attack it for some reason.

Its pretty much the same syndrome as people attacking Apple or Samsung for various deeper felt reasons.

Samsung doesnt sit on a huge cashpile do they? And Apple is a class example of a mismanaged company that stock holders now wish to empty for cash.

Over $30 billion in cash for Samsung.

A lot of these companies have enough cash to spend when the time comes,so in reality all these neurotic worries, are just that.

I am sure they will survive just fine instead of doom and gloom predictions from PC hardware enthusiasts on forums(I am sure Intel will do so too, despite the views of some, but people need to realise others are doing very well too, maybe even better in some metrics).
