Qualcomm Snapdragon 820

Hope they get this out quickly- the 810 feels like a stopgap chip, with a short lived 20nm node and no custom CPU design.
 
Interesting. Their power-aware scheduler was pretty interesting, I wonder if that means they will still have some Big.Little SoCs, or whether it will be useful somehow with their custom cores as well.
 
Don't forget, you'll need very similar software if you have big.little or individual dvfs. I'd bet a lot of Qualcomm's energy scheduling came from krait platform research.
 
Maybe we will see SD820 in devices before 2016
