Quake3 Screenshots

Which directory do the Quake 3 screen shots go to? I use the "printscrn" button on my keyboard, but I don't know where they save the images at.
Thanks,

I don't think there is a "paintbrush" directory on my comp. I know you would use paintbrush to view the image... since it will probably be a *.bmp.

I think it's f6 or f8 or something to take a shot, it should be in one of the quake directories. (I don't have Quake III, just Alice and FAKK2 so I could be wrong). Pressing printscreen should put a shot in your cut and paste, open up an imaging program and paste into a new document, you might be able to grab it like that.

Why not just press F11 and look under your C:\Games\Quake III Arena\BaseQ3\Screenshots folder or what ever your installation directory is. Isn't it stored in RAM but on the clipboard....

😉

You can bind the screenshot action to any key, and you can also capture screens in the JPEG format with the command 'screenshotjpeg'.

Example: /bind F11 screenshotjpeg
