Quake3 fps

this may be a dumb question but i dont know how to run the wuake 3 console to display FPS.. anybody want to tellm me cause i know almost everybody on this forum know how to...

Press the tilde key (~) and enter:

cg_drawFPS 1

Hit Return and the tilde to raise the console and you're all set.

To run the standard timedemo and get an average framerate.

Well I just installed Quake3 again after not playing for years and updated to the latest patch. I tried to do a timedemo like we used to do and it wouldn't do it. Then I looked and there are no demos now. 🙁

Try this:
Open up your pak6.pak3 file in winzip. Find the "four.dm_66" file and extact it. Rename the file to "four.dm_67" and place it in your X:\Quake III Arena\baseq3\demos folder (create it if you need to).

Now at the console use BFG10K's console commands....yea!

thx rbV5 i could never get 1.31 demos to work and always used patch 127g but it's all good now
