Quake3 Arena loop

Hi:

I just visited HardOCP and read through their instruction about a Q3A loops...

However, my own system will always crash out about 10 minutes later. And I'm very sure(Prime95, Sandra200x, 3DMark2001/3 are all running through like a charm) my system is okay!

any idea? The instruction is, under the directory "demoq3," to make a loop.cfg file with the 2 lines below:

Set D1 "demo demo002; set nextdemo vstr D2"
Set D2 "demo demo001; set nextdemo vstr D1"
vstr D1

Any suggestion?

If you're overclocking lower it or raise voltages and try again because QIII can find weaknesses the other stress testers you listed can't.

oh, I'm not overclocking it at all! I'm using INtel's original 845PE motherboard with 2.4B....

It's obvious that the looping demos are exploting an instability in your system.

The first place to start is to make sure you have the latest drivers, BIOS and chipset drivers for your system and make sure you don't overclock anything. Also don't run any background programs.
