Quake Wars In game footage!

It's a game by itself. I'm not sure what Enemy Territory has to do with Quake, but it's a Quake theme. Maybe it's being made by the RTCW/ET group?

I'm very excited for this one as well. Until I heard about TF2 coming with EP2, this was the game I was waiting for. So now it's ET:Quake Wars and EP2/TF2 that I'm really looking forward to for upcoming online shooters. These will hopefully get me back into gaming. Of course, while I wait I still need to play Oblivion, and get more playtime out of BF2, HL2/Source games, Joint Ops, as well as a few others.

Stand alone game (costing money), style of Wolf: ET, but in the Quake universe.

ET: QW is being made by Splash Damage, who made RTCW:ET. The storyline to ETQW is that it'the prequel to quake2 - it shows how humans were able to get strogg technology (defense of a strogg invasion) and launch attacks on stroggos (quakes 2 and 4).

this looks right up my alley...with this training stuff, does a video exist for every map? if so, that's some pretty in depth training on the part of the deveolopers...I guess they are really trying to get people to play the game in a coordinated fashion
 
Looks good but I wonder how it stacks up to the competition. We have this, the new UT, new BF, and new TFC all comming soonish. I guess TFC has its own place, leaving the other three to slog it out.

i see BF being a rehash... aside from new weapons and the like, how much has the gameplay altered? essentially, IMO, it will be a graphical refresh and a weapons update, with a little extra on the side.

UT is the benchmark FPS, so it will never, ever die, more or less. I still like the original best.

TFC should rock hardcore, but I think ETQW will offer a little more in terms of objectives and teamplay because it isn't based solely around getting a flag.
