Does anyone here still play TF, Threewave CTF, FvF, or even good ol' deathmatch? I just installed Quake and ran through a few levels and it reminded me of how great of a game it was, well is! I'm sure there's some people that play here?! Does anyone have a server they could setup for ATers? I will wreck you guys. 😉
 
Bah, you will be slaughtered young grasshopper. I could setup a quick game for you to test your l33t skillz. 🙂

I still play it regularly. Seriously, GLQuake is one of those games that never gets deleted from my hard drive.. 🙂

One of my favorite things to do with GLQuake is load up Rocket Arena with a few of the Omnicron bots on the hardest skill level. The Omnicron and Frog bots are damn good, especially considering when Quake came out.
 
My favorite map was the one where you protected the VIP as you ran through a valley. Team Yellow would try to kill him.
 
I tried searching for some guides and it seems I need QuakeWorld to create a dedicated server >4 players?

Could somebody please fill me in on how to setup a dedicated server for Quake 1 (not necessarily TF). Sorry for hijacking. 🙂

Awesome...I used to play Quake TF all the time back in my dial-up days of the 250 ping. I would play sniper or soldier and an engineer was fun too. Didn't really like the feel that Half-life TF had though.
 
Haha yeah the border map was great! I played on MPlayer too. I remember so many things from that game. When I first loaded it up last night, I was like, wait a second... scr_conspeed I think it is? Yep!


So now, everyone misses it, so can someone set up a server? I got to do hw and goto school but tonight-ish I would be up for any kind of QW.
 
Dunno but this thread just isn't complete without mentioning Team Fortress Done Extreme. There, I said it. Wait, I'll say it again: Team Fortress Done Extreme. Oh baby.

There has to be some small corner on some server we can have a dedicated Q1 server running. The requirements and badnwidth are so damn low...
