Quake III refresh Rates

Any one know how to adjust the refresh rates in quake III arena? I'm getting a crappy 60hz refresh right now, and would like to get up to 85Hz or so... I know my monitor can handle it because I run the desktop at 10*7 32bit @ 85HZ.

this would set your refresh rate to 100Hz.

Are you running Win2k? If so, leave Q3 how it is and use this proggy

Also make sure that your monitor is actually set to refresh faster than 60 times a second. You can make it say as high a number as you want, but you won't really get more frames per second than your monitor refreshes at.
