Quake III Benchmarks...

I just overclocked my Celeron II 566 to 850. I am picking up my GeForce 2 in the morning from the post office (thanks untamo!). I was wondering if anyone had this kind of setup and had done any benchmarking in Q3. Please post some benchmarks of your own here and I will post mine in a couple days. I am really interested in how fast it will be and what resolution I will be able to play at. Thanks.

I have a C566 too clocked at 875.5MHz, but with a V3 3000 clocked at 180MHz.
At 800x600 almost normal, I get 65FPS. With all settings off/min at 640x480, I get about 105FPS

Btw the benchmarking was done at 850MHz, I haven't done anymore benches since I reached 875.5MHz...

Just look at the benchmarks here at Anandtech. The C566@850 is comparable to a PIII700 in most games.

I have the nearly the same setup.

C2 825MHz
GF2 32MB clocked to 200core 390ram
256MB PC100 cas2

Q3a settings : Start with HQ settings, 16b textures, gibbs off, dynamic lights off, ejecting brass off. This combination is my fave for online play. Some eyecandy, but not too slow.

800x600 -> 96.9fps (cpu limited)
1024x768 -> 95.3fps (cpu limited)
1280x1024 -> 83.7fps
1600x1200 -> 60.3fps

Have fun.

Finally got mine all installed. With everything maxed out and running at 1024 I still got about 70 fps. Not too shabby. I am impressed. I am having some problems running half-life above 640 though. Anything above that and I get some weird colors on the screen??? I am going to try the d3d tonight to see if it is the same way. I think I might completely retire the Voodoo2 in my system. Unreal still runs about 70 fps... Thanks everyone.
