Quake Arena LAN Question

I have 2 'puters networked and both running Q3A. I can't seem to get a "local" game setup between them. I set up the server in one, but the other doesn't find it. Is this because the protocal I am using is netBEUI and not TCP/IP mayhaps? Could you recommend a site if the answer is not a simple one.? Thanks...

You need to be using IPX. Install this protocol on each puter and you will have no problems finding a game at all. TCP/IP works too, but it's slower.

Yeah, I can't wait to get my second puter up and running to do the same. Oh yeah...I got no mates interested in fragging to their hearts content. Those that do, get pi$$ed off eventually and it's no fun fraggin someone when they haven't even played the game b4. My wife just flatly refuses to come near me when I'm on the PC 😀 Gunna have to stick with Bots and a 56k connection with 250ms pings.... 🙁
