quake 4 problem

when i run quake 4 i select new, easy setting (private) and click go or enter or whatever it is. it loads, then sends me back to the easy medium hard extra hard screen. what gives?

I hate this game........ I have to play at MEDIuM settings despite having a 7800GT. GRrrrr Need 2 GB memory =(

what resolution are u running at? i got it at 1280x1024, my 19 inch lcd resoultion at high quality (not ultra) with 2x anti ali.

i got an x800xt aiw agp with a mobile barton xp running at 2.4 gigahertz. and 2 gigs of patriot 2.5-3-3-8 timings ram pc3200.

Your computer is telling you to not play this game. Perhaps consider replacing your CPU cooling fan/heatsink with something more powerful, as it is possible (and quite likely) that your CPU will commit suicide.

Just kidding, I haven't played Q4 yet, is it any good?

same graphics as doom 3 and chronicles of riddick efbb. that blasted dumb 3 errr..doom 3 engine :-D (perhaps a lil bit better)

at least so far in this one i can go outside :-D. i'm only in level 2 but thats diff. from doom 3, i don't need a helmet.

alwaysa plus to go outside on a alien planet :thumbsup:
