Quake 4: No sound w/ SB Live! 5.1?

I dont get any sound with my SBLive! 5.1 in Quake 4. I have the latest drivers etc. I have an Audigy Platinum laying around but prefer to stick to this unless it wont work otherwise.

Did you just the card just recently ? Did you mobo have integrated Audio?

If so, you might need to check ur sound, click at the speaker at the bottom right. right click ----> Adjust Audio Properties ---> at the audio tab ----> select your default Audio device.

Patch the game to the latest version.

Also try changing the sound options in the game.

I tried adjusting the options in the game but it said something about "ALOpen".

Every other game I have works just fine. BF2, COD2, HL2, CS:S, DOD:S.
