Quake 4 in October...

Doom 3 was pretty good heh. A bit repetitive, but good. Anyway, the Q4 movie clips made the game enticing.

Lessons that I've learned. Don't buy games the instant they come out. 60 bucks for a game is pretty steep. Especially if you haven't beat them a year later. But yet again I am tempted to do so with Quake 4.

<---stioll hasn't beaten quake 2

Hell

<---still hasn't beaten original super mario bros.

Might have to upgrade from the 9800, but I'm definitely interested in the game as I never got into Q3 in college despite being pretty good.

My 9800 still seems to be holding up pretty well... it's my CPU that needs upgrading, I think (AXP 1600+)

I'm tempted to pre-order this... I pre-ordered Quake3 and had it overnighted and was one of the first people online playing it. 🙂 I was playing against some of the id guys. It was truly a glorious day! 😀

But I was a bit dissappointed with pre-ordering Doom3 as the local stores had it for $15 less and that was without overnight shipping so the real price difference was more like $25 more to preorder.

And if you can play Doom3 on your present system you will be able to play Quake4. They are saying that if anything the code is better for Quake4(based on Doom3 engine) and it runs even better than Doom3 so hold off on upgrades if you were wanting to upgrade just for this game. 😉

I am definitely looking forward to this game! 😀

Quake2 was definately one of the great PC game.
I've played the single player over and over many times.
Of course, Quake 2 multi was one of my favorite.

Nope, I will buy it the next week for $10 or $20 less. I dont care how many peuter figures or soundtracks or video dvds they include!

yea i think it will be nice to have a game based on the doom 3 engine and be wide open with several people in there instead of the closed in and cramped crap like Doom 3 is.
