This is directly from id software and no the footage is not the same as those links above. And is not jerky cam nor lower resolution.

Edit: And has high quality sound. lol

Here's another link.
You have to be a member.

IMO it's imprsssive.
I'm hoping it doesnt bring my system to it's knees.

I'm fine with that, put use in the next gen cards. But this just shows how close we're inching to cinematic battle sequences rendered real-time.

Again, I think battlefield would be helped immensely from this engine, imagine all that tarnage in a BF setting. ;)

Agreed, looks like typical scripted single player gameplay.

wtf are you talking about?

See that mech walking across the screen, that's just background stuff, it'll probably walk along the same path every time you play that level.

All the shooting going on over the trench, that's probably scripted to be the same every time you play that level.

See the dialog between the 2 solders, that's probably scripted, they'll probably say the same thing every time you play that level.

Maybe the number of monsters that walk straight at you without dodging, flanking, etc will vary.

Overall looks like typical single player level as far as gameplay goes.

Don't get me wrong, graphically it's impressive, gameplay wise it looks a little stale.

This link doesnt work or something.

I think it looks awesome. Just one question...is this game multithreaded?

SP isn't the strong point of the quake series, you probably know that already.

If Multiplayer will look that good I'm sold, which is what the fuss is all about.
